What we were
asked to solve
Our client bought Ye Horns Inn, a pub that had once been the centre of its community and had since fallen into disrepair. The job was to bring it back, extend the dining area and improve the exterior and grounds, while keeping every original Grade II listed feature.
A listed building means working inside heritage regulations and still handing over a venue that makes commercial sense. That takes people who know traditional building methods and listed building consent, and who can balance conservation against how a modern pub has to run, on a fixed programme and budget.
Restore it, extend it, and lose none of the listed features along the way.

We took on the whole restoration: the interior, a dining extension, and the exterior and grounds, with the pub's history protected at every stage.
Traditional joinery, stonework and heritage construction methods were paired with tight programme management, so the work finished inside the agreed timeline and budget.
