Why join us

Proper work,
done properly.

Cornerstone Fitout has been fitting out commercial buildings since 1986. We make our own joinery in our workshop at Walton Summit, Preston, and the people who make it are the people who fit it. That means real craft, real responsibility and work you can point to.

Our projects run from listed pubs and hotel ballrooms to hospital theatres, national restaurant rollouts and the stairs at Olympia London. We hold Investors in People Silver, which recognises how we develop our people, and we work safely, with the right PPE, on every job.

Apprenticeships

Earn while
you learn

We train the next generation of joiners ourselves. Our apprentices earn a wage while they learn, working alongside qualified joiners in our workshop and on real job sites, with formal training through Preston College.

You will learn to use hand and power tools safely, work with timber, read drawings and produce high quality joinery. Apprentices work Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, and can go on to Level 3 and Level 4 qualifications and roles such as Qualified Joiner, Senior Joiner, Workshop Foreman or Site Joiner.

You will need GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above, a genuine interest in joinery or construction, and a willingness to learn.
