What we were
asked to solve
The Woodland Spa's £24 million transformation was built around one idea: modern luxury sitting comfortably in a woodland setting. They needed a joinery and fit out partner who could hold that balance across a complex, high-specification building.
The interior had to flow out to the trees around it, so every piece of furniture and joinery had to feel natural and made for its room. The hydrotherapy pool, treatment suites and relaxation areas each brought their own technical problems on top of that.
From the lobby to the treatment rooms, the joinery guests see and touch came out of our own workshop.
Our approach
How Cornerstone
delivered it
We started with the architects and interior designers, working through the detail before anything went into production. CNC machining gave us the precision; hand-applied finishes brought out the natural grain and texture the design depended on.
Corian was specified for hygienic, joint-free surfaces on the reception desks, vanity stations and feature areas. Humidity-resistant joinery for the wet areas, banquette seating for the relaxation lounge and the locker room joinery were all made in-house.
