What’s the difference between a fit-out and a refurbishment?
A fit-out converts an empty space into a working environment. A refurbishment improves or transforms a space that’s already in use. Refurbishments can be full or partial, targeting specific areas while you continue to work. If you’re not sure which applies to your situation, we can advise you when we scope your project.
Can the refurbishment be carried out while we continue working?
In most cases, yes. We design the programme around you, phasing works by area and scheduling disruptive activity out of hours. We’ve delivered refurbishments in live retail, hospitality, and office environments where partial or full occupancy was necessary.
How long does a corporate refurbishment take?
It depends on floor area, scope, and complexity. A targeted partial refurbishment can be completed in weeks while a more complex or full floor refurbishment typically runs over a few months. We’ll produce a detailed programme before work begins, so you have a confirmed end date from the start.
Do I need planning permission for a commercial office refurbishment?
Internal refurbishments usually don’t need planning permission, but some works that affect the internal structure, or in listed buildings or where you want to add external signage, may need approval from building regulations or the local council. We can go through this during your initial consultation.
Do you work outside the North West?
Yes we deliver projects across the UK. Our multi-site roll-out experience means we’re set up for national programmes as well as single-location projects in most regions.
