For a hotel, restaurant or bar, every day closed is a day of lost revenue and a reason for regulars to try somewhere else. That is why so many hospitality fit outs happen around live trading. It can be done well, but it has to be planned that way from the start.
Phase the work around the business
We split the project into phases that match how the venue operates. In a hotel that might mean refurbishing wing by wing. In a restaurant it might mean doing the dining room in two halves, or working nights and weekends while the kitchen keeps serving. The aim is simple: the guest should notice the finished space, not the building work.
Make as much as possible off site
Joinery is usually the longest and messiest part of a hospitality fit out. We make bar fronts, reception desks, banquettes and feature panelling in our own workshop, so they arrive finished and ready to install. Less time cutting and finishing on site means less noise, less dust and fewer days of disruption.
Protect guests and staff
Live sites need clear separation between work areas and trading areas, safe routes for guests and staff, and careful control of dust and noise. Deliveries are timed around service, and the site is left clean and safe at the end of every shift.
Choose finishes that survive trading
A hospitality interior has to look right on opening night and after five years of heavy use. We specify hard-wearing materials that keep their looks, such as solid surface Corian for bar tops and counters, which is seamless, hygienic and easy to repair.
